Sometimes the best surprises just walk through the door, When you know not what to expect, nor what is in store. Such was the case, when what to our wondering eyes did appear? Talent and smarts, wrapped all up in cheer. Without a lot of chatter, though lively and quick, Working diligently down to that last static wick. On Cessna, On Piper, On Cirrus, On Beechcraft; Proficient in work, from stringer to crankshaft. Content when the props are all hung with care, Us pilots are thankful that her work was there. We’re better together, that we know is true, But even more so, with Ellen here too! Congratulations to Ellen Nietfeld – Loyd’s Aviation Employee of the Quarter. Employee of the Quarter – 3Q21
It’s a storied life for our equipment and machines,Driven hard and often used, they keep us moving on the FBO scene.
Tugs and GPUs, used over and over, again and again,But even a fuel truck needs some love, every now and then.
Thankfully we have one, who speaks the language of Lektro and Hobart,To put them back together, if they were to ever fall apart.
The things we all use, to do our job well,Is exactly the place where his services excel.
So while it may seem that we’ve never had this much stuff break,We’re thankful to Edgar, who keeps things running for all of our sake.
Congratulations to Edgar Zarate – Loyd’s Aviation Employee of The Quarter.Poem by Ryan Crowl – President, Loyd’s Aviation.
BJC Awarded IS-BAH Stage 2 Certification!
Bakersfield Jet Center (KBFL), located at Meadows Field Airport, Bakersfield, CA, has successfully completed the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH™) Stage 2 audit.
A full service FBO, the company has been owned and operated by the Loyd family since 1958 and offers aircraft fueling, maintenance, parts, storage, charter, aircraft sales and management.
“At Bakersfield Jet Center, our team believes that safety and service go hand-in-hand which provides the foundation for a great customer experience,” said Steven Loyd, President. “With an internal safety core anchored by the standards within the IS-BAH registration program, we are able to provide the safest operating environment possible for all our stakeholders.”
IS-BAH™ was established through the efforts of the International Aviation Business Council (IBAC) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) as a global code to identify and promote the use of industry best practices by means of a progressive Safety Management System (SMS) for both FBOs and Business Aircraft Handling Agencies (BAHA). It follows the format and structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) program and incorporates many of the guidelines of the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Standard and elements of NATA’s Safety 1st Program.
Employee of the Quarter – 2Q21
Every now and then, and once in a while;
Something unintended happens to make you smile.
In a world of late, with too much doubt and fear;
A cloud moves by, and a bright spot begins to appear.
When those that were relied upon were suddenly not there;
This one stepped up with strength and courage that is sometimes rare.
With a great attitude akin to those good ‘ol folks;
He contributed even more, all the while telling his jokes.
With perfection in his heart, there’s no hill he won’t climb;
He can even rebuild a tug in just six month’s time.
So join me in thanking one that stands out from the crowd.
Andres is his name, who makes us all proud.
Congratulations to Andres Delgado – Loyd’s Aviation Employee of The Quarter.
