Loyd’s Aviation was established in 1958 by Byron E. Loyd in Bakersfield, CA. An entrepreneur at heart, Byron wasn’t afraid to take risks and worked to grow the fledgling company until 1993 when he retired, and his son Steve took over.

Loyd’s Aviation started out with one hangar space and today can accommodate over 90 aircraft which allowed the opportunity to greatly expand line operations, maintenance, parts, aircraft charter and management, hangar and storage rental, and aircraft sales.

Now in its 6^th decade of operation, Bakersfield Jet Center (BJC) by Loyd’s Aviation is the premier full-service FBO in the region and encompasses nearly 30 acres at the KBFL airport dedicated to the safe and efficient operation, storage, fueling and handling of military, cargo, commercial and general aviation aircraft.
